If this did in fact happen and the cop wasn’t arresting this Baptist for other legal reasons, I’d have to say I’m for the Baptist. I uphold the right of ignorant, drooling, spear-rattling witch doctors to say ooga booga all they want, as long as they don’t touch me or pass laws against me.
I’d only add that “don’t pass laws against me” is, in a real sense, a broad extension of “don’t touch me”.
